Recently, we went into the countryside to carry out artistic practice of rural cultural revitalization, planned the “Writing the Earth, Poetry and the Distant” work report exhibition, and explored the creation and display path of rural cultural revitalization – “Art Rural Construction”.
In this “Art Rural Construction” practice, we pay special attention to the “roots” of rural culture and the local artistic creation style, and hope to awaken villagers’ confidence in their local culture through expressing traditional rural culture. This is a challenge. For us studio students who use traditional calligraphy, painting and printing art, I think this is not only a challenge, but also a kind of nirvana. It is to cultivate our ability to understand, perceive and understand the countryside. Facing the places where our ancestors have lived for generations, how can we use the artistic talents we have mastered to create and realize our vision, and turn this fertile land into a beautiful spiritual home that is suitable for business and living. The performance art of “Bamboo Planting in the 5G Era” was developed by the author’s association with the “Seven Sages of Bamboo Planting” from a local bamboo forest. At that time, I thought, who is the “Seven Sages of Bamboo Planting” now? Can the representative “Seven Sages of Bamboo Planting” be found in contemporary times? Even if it is found, what is the problem? Is it necessary? What is the inspirational significance of the “Seven Sages of Bamboo Planting” for the present?” Some things are just coincidental. At that time, I happened to read an article by Mr. Wu Hongliang on Chinese painting, titled “Size Bamboo Planting in the 5G Era”, which is also derived from a sentence in a poem by Xichuan, “Dreams of the Agile and Flying Words”. Although the three of us talk about “bamboo forest” and “Seven Sages”, the profiles are different and the meanings to express are different. Therefore, our work “Bamboo Planting in the 5G Era” has emerged: In the 5G Era, everyone is the “Seven Sages”, but they are different. Everyone has their own side. Although things are connected, connected, and everyone is interconnected, how should everyone’s heart be connected?
